Currently using it in Tokyo for a week. Downloaded it before my trip (from Canada), once I got to the HND turned on the eSIM and it worked even on the plane.
SIM cards at the 711/BIC Camera/ Don Quijote costs more and only have limited GBs.
Noticed it can be slower in larger areas like Shinjuku-but works perfect for Google Maps.
Spotty reception on the Shinkansen to Osaka, but still worked when we did our stops and my the larger cities.

The speed is bad. Sometimes VERY bad. There’s times when loading a text in Snapchat takes time. And that kb… not even mb. But it does work well at times too. The picture is of one of the better tests…
