What can I do if my data speed is too slow?

Quick Answer

Slow data can be caused by network congestion, weak coverage, local carrier conditions, or reduced speed after high-speed data is used. Try restarting your phone, selecting the network manually, and checking your data roaming settings.

Step 1: Restart the connection

  1. Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds.
  2. Turn Airplane Mode off.
  3. Restart your phone if the speed is still slow.

Step 2: Check eSIM settings

  • Make sure the eSIM is selected for mobile data.
  • Make sure data roaming is turned on for the eSIM.
  • Make sure your primary SIM is not being used for mobile data by mistake.

Step 3: Try manual network selection

On iPhone, go to [Settings] > [Cellular]/[Mobile Service] > [Network Selection], turn off [Automatic], and try another available supported network.

On Android, go to [Settings] > [Mobile Networks] > [Network Operators], turn off [Automatic], and select another available supported network.

Step 4: Set the device to 3G temporarily

  1. Go to [Settings] > [Connections] > [Mobile networks].
  2. Tap [Network mode] and select 3G temporarily.
